I’ve understand the message, the post with the “2 wolves story” has been deleted. Sorry, it was not intended to offend anyone. I liked the “zen spirit” of the story, apart from its origin, but I can understand that it’d be a focal point -its origins -for someone else, so i deleted my post.
P.S: I never assumed that english speakers can’t speak other languages, or use an on-line translator, I’m not so silly ;-)
Boh…

They’re just two wolves :)
Yo, not only is this story utter BS, you probably shouldn’t just refer to someone as their race.
I.E. ”A white came over and asked me for some mayonnaise” etc. etc.
Totally inappropriate. Go fuck yourself.
Hi, don’t you ever thought that what is considered to be inappropriate in America, shouldn’t be in Europe, or vice-versa? Actually, if you say here in my place something like “a white asked me a maionnaise”, it could be considered bizarre, but not racist, in any way. Different cultures, different sensibilities. Maybe it would sound offensive something like “go fuck yourself”, even if we’re not native english speaker, but, You see, thanks to Hollywood…
Eventually, I couldn’t immagine that “Cherokee” was a “race”, I uesd to think that we share just one race, the human one. But I’ve no intention to offend anyone, person or group, please believe me. I only found that this story about wolves sounded like “zen”, intended in the sense that it invited to overpass dualism, from good/bad to hate/love. Only that, nothing else. Every other overstructure is unwanted, and a little bit much complicated due to the language barrier ;-)

So, I’ve been sending “asks” to people on tumblr who have either posted or reblogged the infamous “Two Wolves” story that is falsely purported to be Cherokee in origin. The above response to my ask was sent by a person who seems to doubt my credibility. I’m not exactly sure what to say in response other than, “I’m Cherokee, is that proof enough for you?” Seriously though, I really want this little campaign of mine to not have been a waste of time. Does anyone know what the movie this comes from?
On my part, i posted this short story because I found it interesting, in its message and even for the “fact”, or so supposed, that it came from an maerican native culture, but it could be written in Thailand or on the top of Mount Everest, I consoderede it as a bridge between different cultures from distant corners of the world. I believed it was amazing. My post was never intended as an offence towards a group, a culture, ethnic group or so on. Even now, after having read the compelling, I can’t find in the story anything offensive.
But I can delete the post, if someone demonstrate me that indeed it could sound in some way racist. So said, it doesn’t seems to me a logical proof that the story is a fake-Cherokee one, only beacuase it is so said by a Cherokke. Would you believe me if a say that pizza and pasta are not italian foods? The proof? I’m italian. So my birthplace gives me some moral authority. mmmh, maybe, or maybe not. Before I dlete, I’m sorry but I need some more proofs, not so much on the part of the origin of the story, I don’t think it’s so important if it’d be Cherokee, or Norwegian, or Italian, but much more on the part of its supposed offensivity. Thanks.
